I’ve continued coiling with the blue electrical wire and copper wire and enjoying the effect despite it being a very time consuming process; due in part to the fact that the fine copper wire keeps snapping so I’m constantly having to rethread and also because I am tripling each stitch for strength.
At the moment it is looking very much like an elephant’s trunk! I think it’s now time to start working on the other end of the vessel; finding a way to transition from the rubber tube to the next level will need some consideration…one possibility is to introduce crochet at this point.
